Feeling Word List (Simple Mode)

  • Overview

Learning how to put your feelings into words can be very helpful in knowing yourself better and as an aid to working through places where you are stuck. The below list is a useful tool for helping you to identify your feelings. Use this in conjunction with the Body Sensation List to get a fuller picture of what you are experiencing.
  • Instructions

    • In the below list you can mark any Feeling word you are experiencing right now (or during a prior time period, if you are reflecting back on your day, or a memory you are revisiting).
    • You are viewing the Feeling Word List in Simple Mode (i.e., without the swipeable seven column layout). You can easily return to the regular view.
    • Each list heading is a link to view just that Feeling-list by itself.
    • Click/Tap on a Feeling word to “star” (*) that word.
    • A () symbol indicates words which appear in multiple lists.
    • At the bottom of the page are links which you can use to return to your word selections later. (Nothing is stored on the website—the links simply recreate your selections.) Note: The ability to save a link recreating your selections is currently disabled while I fix some bugs. Sorry for the inconvenience!
    • There is also a section displaying all of your selections in a list (for easy copying).
    • If you wish to print the entire list you can download the print-friendly Feeling Word List PDF.
